WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
A UK university campus in Dubai can offer a different location for study, but you must verify the exact course and award. It does not automatically provide UK immigration or post-study-work rights.
Start with a real campus and course
Birmingham and Heriot-Watt publish Dubai study options on their own websites. Check the exact programme, campus address, delivery mode and awarding institution. Other UAE emirates are not interchangeable with Dubai.
A university brand alone does not confirm that your intended degree is offered at that location or intake. Use the campus-specific page before applying.
Check recognition for your next step
Ask about the programme’s current accreditation and recognition where you intend to work or continue studying, especially for regulated professions. Confirm the award title and obtain written information about any professional limitations.
For example, an engineering degree’s academic award and eligibility for professional registration are different questions. Send the exact programme details to the relevant regulator if recognition is essential.
Compare the full cost and experience
Use tuition in the stated currency, accommodation, transport, insurance and visa-related expenses. Compare facilities, teaching arrangements, placement opportunities and student support at the Dubai campus itself.
If inter-campus transfer interests you, ask about availability, academic conditions, fees and immigration requirements. A transfer scheme is not an unconditional right to move to the UK.
Keep immigration expectations accurate
The UK Graduate route has UK study and immigration requirements. Completing a UK-branded degree entirely in Dubai does not by itself qualify you. Check UAE residence and any intended employment conditions separately.
Next action: request written answers on course availability, recognition, total cost and transfer conditions. Choose the campus because it supports your study plan, not because an advert implies automatic access to another country.
