About this programme

Who can apply

  • Graduate/doctoral students in approved thesis or dissertation research courses are classified as half-time. This does not by itself establish work-study eligibility.

    Official source · 2026-10-11 ↗
  • Must actively participate in a DePaul FWS-approved student job and meet general aid and programme enrolment requirements, including confirmed attendance/participation in approved courses.

    Official source · 2026-10-11 ↗
  • Meet satisfactory academic progress and programme-specific enrolment requirements. Courses must carry credit and count toward the programme; audited courses are excluded and repeat-course aid is limited. Eligibility ends after programme completion for federal/state aid. No federal loan default or federal aid refund owed.

Exclusions and exceptions

  • The provider terms require notifying Financial Aid about specified drug/fraud convictions, incarceration or federal-debt liens. This is recorded as provider notification guidance, not an automatic eligibility exclusion; current legal applicability is not independently established.

What the funding covers

  • Wages are paid by direct deposit or paycheck according to hours worked in an eligible on-campus position, rather than credited to tuition. The disbursement table permits earning the term award at full-time enrolment, with other eligibility limited to special circumstances requiring Financial Aid advice.

Documents to prepare

  • Monitor the Campus Connect To-Do List for requested income/verification documents. Requests depend on the application; the guidance reviewed does not supply a complete FWS checklist.

How to apply

  • Create/update the student and required contributor FSA IDs, complete FAFSA, monitor its processed status and check the submission summary for errors.

    Official source · 2026-10-11 ↗
  • For summer aid, complete the separate Campus Connect summer application, available from April each year. Summer job/award availability and current dates are not confirmed.

Keeping your funding

  • Notify Financial Aid of incorrect/changed FAFSA information, additional funding and programme/academic-level changes. Participate in courses, complete formal withdrawal when stopping attendance, answer documentation requests on time and use federal funds only for education expenses.

Application dates

Check the provider’s full terms for your citizenship, residence, course and intake. This overview is not a personal eligibility assessment.

Not yet confirmed in this guide: costs to plan for; academic and course requirements.

    Important details to confirm
    • Full citizenship/residence, work authorisation, award limits, wages, hiring process and programme-specific exceptions are missing. the guidance reviewed’s lower-load columns are flattened, so individual part-time eligibility must be checked with Financial Aid.
