About this programme

Who can apply

  • ASSET in-state eligibility and DACA are distinct: a student may qualify for either, both or neither. Nonresidents are ineligible for the described need-based assistance/ASSET benefit. The page gives one Colorado high-school year plus graduation as an example, not the complete ASSET test.

Exclusions and exceptions

  • ASSET/DACA students are not eligible for federal grants or loans. DACA may enable separate state work-study up to $3,000; this is employment, not an additional guaranteed grant.

What the funding covers

  • Depending on enrolment, need and available funds, ASSET students may receive CU Promise or a combination of CU Boulder and Colorado grants of $2,400–$10,300 annually. That range is not attributed to CU Promise alone.

Documents to prepare

  • The timeline asks for official high-school transcripts to Admissions in May and College Opportunity Fund application before classes. Full financial-aid documentation remains programme-specific.

How to apply

  • Apply annually from 1 October using CASFA, creating a Colorado Department of Higher Education account on first use. ASSET students use CASFA instead of FAFSA, but those who already filed FAFSA need not file both.
